Permissions Policy on use and distribution of the Get Active Questionnaire, the Get Active Questionnaire for Pregnancy, the Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines, and the Canadian Guideline for Physical Activity throughout Pregnancy:
- The Guidelines (all versions, languages), the Get Active Questionnaire (all versions, languages, and related reference documents) are owned and copyrighted by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology.
- NGOs and stakeholders are encouraged to download, use and distribute the following documents:
- the Get Active Questionnaire;
- the Get Active Questionnaire – Reference Document;
- the Get Active Questionnaire for Pregnancy;
- 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for
- the Early Years (0-4 years),
- Children and Youth (5-17 years),
- Adults (18-64 years),
- Adults (65+ years);
- the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines for Adults with MS; and
- the 2019 Canadian Guideline for Physical Activity throughout Pregnancy,
- There are no restrictions to downloading and printing copies of these documents to fulfill your distribution needs. Bulk printed copies of some Guidelines and the Get Active Questionnaire are available from CSEP for a modest charge.
- Organizations may reproduce the documents listed above; however, the reproductions must be unmodified, in their entirety and their permission to use is to be credited to: The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, www.csep.ca/guidelines.
- Organizations may not sell or use any of the above listed documents in any publication, print or electronic, that is made available for sale without the expressed written permission of the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (and payment of applicable license fees). See the next section
- The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology reserves the right to revoke or limit the rights to use these documents.
Republication and other resources
To request permission to reproduce any CSEP-copyrighted work, please send a letter of request to CSEP Permissions c/o info@csep.ca and include the following information:
- full name and address of the author and publisher
- title of your publication (book, article, website, other)
- estimated publication date and cost
- title of the CSEP work you wish to reproduce and example of how it will appear in your publication
Permission requests are subject to a fee of a $50 application fee and $200 per item for print and/or electronic rights (plus applicable taxes) payable by cheque or major credit card. Permission to reproduce a work in computer software, upon approval, is subject to a CSEP Licensing Agreement and licensing fees.
