CSEP/SCPE Undergraduate Student Award

Terms of Reference

Name of Award

The name of the award is the CSEP/SCPE Undergraduate Student Award.

Purpose of the Award

The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in academic achievement in exercise science among undergraduate students.

Eligibility

The award shall be offered in Canadian universities that offer an Undergraduate degree in kinesiology, human kinetics, or related exercise physiology disciplines. The recipients shall be graduating students who achieve the highest academic standing in their undergraduate class in the scientific portion of the curriculum.

Selection Procedure

The CSEP/SCPE Undergraduate Award Program shall be administered through the parent university’s Student Awards Office in conjunction with the Chair of the appropriate department, school, or faculty.

Format

The award will be in the form of a glass paperweight and a certificate suitable for framing.

Frequency of the Award

One award shall be granted at each university. It shall be given to each recipient at an occasion deemed appropriate by the chair of the department, school, or faculty.
