The purpose of this award is to provide financial aid for students to attend the CSEP Annual Conference.
- The applicants must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
- The applicant must be a CSEP member in good standing at the time of application submission, and at the time of the CSEP Annual Conference.
- The applicant will submit a standard abstract formatted in accordance with the Annual Scientific Meeting Submissions Guidelines.
- Submit a personal statement (~500 words) outline the importance of the research being presented, and how it relates to CSEP’s mission.
- In addition, a one-page (~300 words) formal letter from the applicant’s primary academic advisor must also be submitted, which explains the role and contributions of the applicant in all aspects of the investigation, including rationale for the financial need.
- Please send your submission files as an attachment to awards@csep.ca, using the subject line: “CSEP Award/Grant Submission: CSEP Student Travel Award“
- Priority will be given to applicants who can best demonstrate a financial need as stated by the primary academic advisor.
- The financial need assessment will be based on geographical need, and funding status of home laboratory.
- Applicants may indicate other financial needs in the personal statement.
- The CSEP Member Services Committee will review the submissions and defer to the Local Organizing Committee for final approval.
