To recognize the research and other contributions of Gord Sleivert to the area of Applied Sport Research and/or Sport Nutrition.

The nominee for the Health and Fitness Program Annual Lecture will be a noted investigator in the area of applied sport and/or sport nutrition research, with an exemplary publication record. An individual who has received the award within the previous five years will not be eligible.

Selection Process:

The Local Organizing Committee of the CSEP Annual Scientific Meeting will select an individual to be ratified by the CSEP Board prior to any announcement.

Recognition of the Recipient:

  • The recipient will present a 45-minute lecture on a topic of his/her chosen topic the area of applied sport or nutrition research at the CSEP Annual Scientific Meeting on the day of Health & Fitness programming (normally Saturday).

  • The recipient will receive a $1,000 honourarium, plus expenses to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting.

For the first five years the lecture shall be in honour of Gord Sleivert.
