Reporting to the Operations Manager of Clinics and Labs, the incumbent will support faculty and students in the Clinical Kinesiology labs and internal placement.

What You’ll be Doing

• Supporting and assisting lab instructors and students in assigned lab classes;
• Supporting and assisting students during open practice times;
• Role-modeling professional behavior;
• Supporting and assisting with simulations including both set up and take down of equipment;
• Maintaining lab equipment which includes reporting any broken or damaged equipment;
• Preparing labs with all necessary equipment and materials;
• Ensuring the lab is clean, safe and organized;
• Promoting and conducting safe lab practices;
• Assisting with practical lab exams and open lab practice;
• Attending lab meetings when scheduled;
• Overseeing internal field placement;
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

• A University Degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics and Professional Masters in Kinesiology or equivalent.
• A Registered Kinesiologist (R.Kin) and/or a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) in good standing with their respective regulatory Colleges.
• A minimum of 3 years working in a clinical/exercise setting, where exercise testing and prescription was performed on apparently healthy and individuals with chronic disease.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
