About the position: The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) will be an integral member of the My Wellness School administrative team, focusing on communications, promotion, and outreach. The CEC will report directly to the Community Manager, and will work collaboratively with other members of the administrative team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed intern who is interested in growing with a new and innovative wellness company in a fully remote position. Our ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Promote an inclusive approach to healthy living.
  • Model professionalism and respectfulness in every interaction.
  • Create a positive and safe environment within the (online) community.
  • Communicate effectively with the administrative team and community members.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Express creativity, fun and engagement across all platforms.

CEC Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate of) a post-secondary program in fitness, health, kinesiology, or related field (i.e. diploma or degree)*
  • Industry recognized certification is an asset (Eg. CSEP-CPT, CEP, etc.).
  • Basic technical competency in digital communications (i.e. email, social media, online forums), and/or a willingness to learn new platforms.

CEC Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with key industry experts for collaborative projects.
  • Brainstorm, organize and lead virtual workshops and events.
  • Social media content creation, promotion and marketing.
  • Creating and editing evidence-based educational materials.
  • Engage and moderate daily community activity.
  • Support Community Manager with day-to-day tasks.

*Opportunity to transition into a paid position.
