We are pleased to share that the impact factor for CSEP’s official journal, Applied Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism (APNM), published by Canadian Science Publishing, has seen another impressive increase. In 2018 the two-year impact factor increased to 3.455 from a previous 2.52!

The journal impact factor is a measure of citation frequency and reflects the average number of citations a paper published in the journal received in the previous two years.

With the increased impact factor APNM is now ranked among some of the top journals in the field — 13th (of 83) in sport science journals, and 20th (of 81) in physiology journals. These rankings reflect the caliber of APNM and clearly illustrate that it is a highly respected and competitive journal.

The APNM editors, Terry Graham and Wendy Ward, will continue to look forward to building on the excellent progress of the journal. As CSEP members, we hope you will continue to submit your best work and to let your colleagues know that APNM is a high-quality, interdisciplinary journal.

Established in 1976, the journal focuses on the application of physiology, nutrition, and metabolism to the study of human health, physical activity, and fitness.
