Professional Certifications

The CSEP Health & Fitness Program has two levels of certification based on a candidate's academic background and work experience in the field.

Level 1: CSEP Certified Personal Trainer® (CSEP-CPT)

CSEP-CPT candidates must have at least two years of College Diploma or University Degree coursework that specifically addresses the CSEP-CPT core competencies.

Level 2: CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist® (CSEP-CEP)

Candidates must complete a 4-year university degree in Kinesiology/Human Kinetics/Health Science to be eligible for CSEP-CEP certification. This professional certification is for Kinesiologists who wish to SPECIALIZE in the health, fitness and rehabilitation industry.
